Timestamp Video Camera is an impressive tool that seamlessly integrates instrument displays into your action video recordings. With features like map, speed, GPS location, altitude, g-force, compass, time, date, and timestamp, this app transforms your device into the ultimate action camera. Unlike other apps that simply display these instruments on screen, Timestamp Video Camera actually renders them into the MPEG-4 video itself. What sets this app apart is the ability to freely configure and move these 'head up display' instruments within the video frame.

Applications for Timestamp Video Camera are vast and varied. Whether you're participating in sports or simply want to add a unique touch to your action videos, this app can prove your map position, speed, g-force, GPS location, altitude, heading, compass, duration, distance, roll, pitch, date, time, and timestamp. It's especially useful for car racing (on-board-camera), mountain biking, skating, skiing, sailing, hiking, surfing, flying, kiting, or any other fast-moving action sports activities.

Timestamp Video Camera offers a wide range of instruments to enhance your videos:

<li>Heading: Graphical instrument displaying current magnetic compass heading angle relative to true north</li>
<li>Course: Graphical instrument displaying current movement course vector relative to north</li>
<li>Roll/Pitch: Graphical instrument displaying roll and pitch of your camera</li>
<li>G-Force: Graphical instrument displaying horizontal and vertical G-Forces experienced by your camera</li>
<li>Date: Current date</li>
<li>Time: Current time</li>
<li>Speed: Current speed as text display</li>
<li>DateTime: Current date and time as 1- or 2-line text display</li>
<li>GPS Position: GPS coordinates of your location as 1- or 2-line text display</li>
<li>Course: Course angle of current movement heading vector of your camera relative to true north</li>
<li>Heading: Compass angle of your camera heading view vector relative to north</li>
<li>Altitude: Altitude based on GPS</li>
<li>Distance: Distance traversed since start. Can be reset in ‘Settings’ by the user anytime</li>
<li>Duration: Duration passed since start. Can be reset in ‘Settings’ by the user anytime</li>
</ul>

There are a few additional bits of information worth noting about Timestamp Video Camera. The app supports video recording in both landscape and portrait modes, with a movie format of MPEG-4 720p. The instruments within the app are completely customizable, allowing you to freely move and scale them as needed. Real-time telemetry data is updated using both GPS and Gyro. The app supports metric, imperial, and nautical units, and is compatible with both iPhone and iPad devices. While audio recording is supported, it's important to disable audio recording from other apps before starting Timestamp Video Camera to avoid conflicts. Lastly, users should be aware that utilizing GPS, gyroscope, camera, movie encoding, and graphics simultaneously will result in increased battery usage.
